This book is written by Vivien Goldman, one of the few scribes on a pop paper, Sounds, who concentrated on reggae during the 1970s. This gave have unimaginable access to Bob Marley, his band and their record company (being a former Island PR person of course did help). She covered their story several times from Jamaica and London, and extracts from some her published articles formed the basis of this intimate reflection of Marley at a crucial time of his life.
