Artist JayEss
JayEss: The Gospel Rapper
Interviewer Semper Azeez-Harris
The mere mention of the gospel musical genre will, for many, conjure up imagines of the Deep South Mississippi, cotton fields, sparsely furnished churches with African-Americans singing in majestic unison.

As with any musical genre, sub-genres are created, and gospel is no exception.

Artist Naturally 7
Naturally 7: It’s a bit more than accapella!
Interviewer Semper Azeez-Harris
Naturally 7 are different! They are a brilliant group able to harmonise with the professionalism and talent that reminds you of Boyz II Men. But they take the game further.

From drums, snares, bass, to trumpets, the seven-man group create all the instruments via their vocal cords.

With their third album ‘Wall of Sound’ (Festplatte), released late January 2009, they are gaining a world-wide fanbase.

Artist Blak Twang
Blak Twang - Can’t beat a bit of Xperience
Interviewer Semper Azeez-Harris

After ten years blessing the UK with his spitting ability. Twang’s back with his fifth album which promises to deliver the same honest and observational lyrics.

Speaking to him you realise why he has been able to produce so many albums.

Importantly there is no suggestion that he is even close to hanging up the mic!

Check it out!.

Artist No Lay
No Lay: There’s No Comparison
Interviewer Semper Azeez-Harris

In a world of machismo where spouting and spitting bars that are meant to KO their opponents (if need be) with volleys of nouns and verbs, the female emcee stands out. There obviously have been female emcees in the UK, Monie Love from back in the day and more recently Shystie but taking hold of the mic is still a predominantly a male affair, especially in the UK.
